Vows That Wow: Each month, our editors review dozens of San Antonio weddings and select the best of the best to feature as our Vows that Wow.

Anna and Ryan’s wedding celebration was a testament to love, tradition, and the perfect blend of intimate moments with grand festivities. This thoughtful couple crafted a two-day celebration that honored both family heritage and their unique love story, culminating in an unforgettable evening at The Argyle.

The celebration began with Anna fulfilling a childhood dream—saying “I do” in the historic church built on her family’s land, a moment she had envisioned since she was young. “Our wedding itself happened the day before our celebration, and my favorite moment had to be saying ‘I do’ in the historic church on broader family land, just as I had dreamed since I was a kid.” Anna shared. This intimate ceremony set the perfect foundation for what was to come.

The following day brought their loved ones together at The Argyle for a reception that beautifully wove together personal touches and stunning design elements. Pearl Events Austin masterfully orchestrated every detail with special care—creating a full-circle moment as the planner had known Anna from their college days together. 🤍

The reception space was transformed through thoughtful decor and rentals. Bright Event Rentals provided the perfect tent and stage setting, while furniture from Perch Event Decor and tabletop rentals from Table Manners Event Rentals created elegant restaurant style seating and stunning tablescapes. BBJ La Tavola’s exquisite linens perfectly complemented the settings, with additional rentals by Premiere Events completing the sophisticated look. Austin Event Lighting casted an elevated glow throughout the evening, creating an atmosphere of refined celebration that felt both grand and intimate.

Statue of Design truly provided the wow factor with show-stopping floral arrangements featuring cascading blue and white hydrangeas that transformed the space into a summery paradise. These elaborate florals served as the centerpiece of the entire celebration, with lush arrangements adorning every surface and creating breathtaking photo opportunities throughout the evening.

Personal touches were woven throughout the celebration, starting with the custom toile pattern created by Pink Champagne Designs for their invitations and wedding details. This thoughtful design included meaningful snippets of their relationship: their beloved dog Selah, their business school where they first met, a skier representing their shared love of the slopes, and the USS Michael Murphy—the ship Ryan was deployed on during his Navy service.

The naval tribute continued with one of the evening’s most striking elements, an incredible ice sculpture by Full Spectrum Ice of the USS Michael Murphy. This touching tribute to Ryan’s military service served as both art and conversation piece, creating a meaningful focal point that guests talked about all night long.

As the evening unfolded, The Drywater Band kept the energy high with an incredible music selection that had guests dancing from the first song to the last. “Tearing up the dance floor with everyone we love is a memory that’s hard to beat!” Anna reflected, and it’s clear this couple achieved exactly what they hoped for—a celebration that honored their past while launching their future together. 💍

Anna and Ryan’s two-day celebration beautifully balanced intimate family moments with joyful festivities. Their wedding weekend was a perfect reminder that the most meaningful celebrations happen when every detail tells your story!
