✨ Vows That Wow: Each month, our editors review dozens of San Antonio weddings and select the best of the best to feature as our Vows that Wow. ✨
When most of your guests are traveling from out of state, how do you give them a true taste of Texas while keeping things authentically you? Janie and Luc figured it out with their vibrant celebration at Stable Hall, where every single detail was designed with the guest experience in mind. And honestly? It was perfection.
Scarlet Rose Events brought Janie’s vision to life with thoughtful planning that went far beyond the typical wedding day coordination. The couple wanted western without being rustic, a nod to their Texas love story that still felt like them. The result? A color palette that perfectly complemented Stable Hall‘s modern architecture while reflecting just how fun and bright Janie and Luc are as a couple. Having collaborative clients who truly trusted the process made this wedding unforgettable for the entire planning team!
But here’s where it gets really good. Scarlet Rose Collective created custom rentals, stationery, and the invitation suite that tied everything together seamlessly. Janie’s mom even hand-drew a sketch of San Fernando Cathedral for the invitations! Talk about meaningful details. And can we talk about how the dance floor pattern matched the envelope liner? That’s the kind of cohesive design that makes our hearts skip a beat.
The guest experience was truly next level. From fudge favors, cowboy hats (because what better way to introduce Kansas City guests to Texas?), to an affogato cart, and a luggage tag branding station by Hatbox Austin, every touchpoint was intentional. Janie shared that she was surprised by how much guests loved the luggage tags, with friends and family still sending her photos of their travels using them!
The Vintage Bouquet completely transformed the space with unique bright florals that felt fresh and unexpected, while Illusions Rentals provided tables, chairs, linens, napkins, chargers, and glassware that elevated every tablescape. Veil Artistry made sure Janie looked absolutely radiant from ceremony to last dance, while Hotel Emma provided accommodations for guests and hosted the farewell brunch.
One of Janie’s favorite moments was walking into the reception and seeing the absolute masterpiece her team had created. But it was also about honoring family. She displayed her grandmother’s and mother’s wedding dresses to honor the brides who came before her, even incorporating her grandmother’s wedding band as her own. Scarlet Rose Collective also created a gallery wall of wedding portraits from the couples’ extended family members, surprising loved ones who didn’t realize their own photos were on display.
After saying “I do” at San Fernando Cathedral, the bridal party took a scenic river cruise with Go Rio Cruises to Stable Hall (how cool is that?). Once the celebration kicked off, Jordan Kahn Orchestra utilized the venue’s stage to create a concert-like atmosphere that kept guests on the dance floor all night long.
As Janie reflected, the most important thing she learned from planning was that you need organized people around you and clear priorities for the day. With Scarlet Rose Events leading the way, every detail fell perfectly into place. Corinne Vaz Photography captured every beautifully designed moment, preserving all those thoughtful touches that made this celebration truly one of a kind.
