How One Couple Turned a Beloved Summer Camp into the Ultimate Wedding Venue
The dress came first, a strapless gown covered in floral embroidery that made the entire bridal party lose it the moment Mary walked through the door.
But the dress was just one piece of what made this November wedding at Camp Waldemar feel like it was built entirely around Mary and Robert. Mary has been coming to this camp on the Guadalupe since she was nine, was put on the waitlist before she was born, spent her late best friend’s last summer with her there, and took Robert there on their first road trip.
Their wedding was a true homecoming with so many special moments. Backstory Backdrops built the sweetest seating chart featuring champagne cages turned into chairs. The Curated Plate baked fresh focaccia in a field on the property. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room during her Mary’s father’s toast. And our favorite? After the sendoff, everyone came back to the dance floor in their pajamas!
