Some venues are just a backdrop. Camp Waldemar was so much more than that for the Bathies!
All three of Jenna’s sisters were campers and counselors at Waldemar. Sebastian was a counselor at Camp La Junta, the brother camp nearby. And Jenna always knew she wanted to marry him there. Before her father passed away in 2023, he knew that too. So when the weekend finally came – guests arriving at camp Friday, a welcome party that night, and the wedding on Saturday – it carried the kind of weight that only a place with that much history can hold.
Guests felt the camp magic from the moment they received their The Girl General invite in the mail to the moment Jenna descended the steps to meet Sebastian in front of a gorgeous floral arch by Trinity Flowers. And all the custom printed goodies in their weekend bags didn’t hurt either! The Sweet August Events team truly knocked it out of the park on both the design & guest experience. Plus, Freesia Designs created the most stunning seating chart and custom bars. No one wanted to leave the reception tent all night! Twinkling string lights over chic tables set with Luxe Tabletop and a rocking live band, what more could a wedding need?
