2026 Wed Society San Antonio Wedding of the Year
Felipe & Mario Win Wed Society San Antonio’s 2026 Wedding of the Year!
We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 2026 Wed Society San Antonio Wedding of the Year! This fan-favorite celebration competed against 10 standout weddings on Instagram Stories and ultimately captured hearts with its unforgettable details and the showstopping talent of our incredible local vendors. Up next, this winning San Antonio wedding will move on to be considered for Wed Society’s National Wedding of the Year 2026. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted, to our inspiring couple, and to the dream team of creatives who brought this unforgettable wedding vision to life!
If there’s one thing Felipe + Mario know how to do, it’s throw a celebration that is unapologetically, fabulously THEM. And apparently, y’all agree! Their larger-than-life, black-tie wedding at The Preserve at Canyon Lake officially earned the title of 2026 Wed Society San Antonio Wedding of the Year, and we couldn’t imagine a more deserving celebration.
From jaw-dropping floral installations and custom details to mariachi music, drag performances and a dance floor that simply wouldn’t quit, this wedding had EVERYTHING. But beyond the fabulous fashion and unforgettable entertainment was a celebration rooted in love, family, culture and the freedom to be exactly who you are.
And THAT is what makes this wedding a winner in our book.
A Black-Tie Affair With Personality to Spare
The dress code? All black. The vibe? Anything but ordinary.
Guests traveled from across the country to celebrate Felipe + Mario, arriving ready for an evening that promised to be as stylish as it was memorable. And with the grooms themselves being the creative minds behind MOAB & Co., you already know no detail was going to be overlooked.
At The Preserve at Canyon Lake, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their favorite people in an intimate circular ceremony. Cascading blush and white florals by Bloom and Stem framed the grooms, creating a romantic contrast against the bold black attire worn by their guests.
It was heartfelt, visually striking and the perfect beginning to an evening that only got better from there.
The Details? Absolutely Iconic.
You know a wedding is going to be good when the RSVP cards arrive courtesy of the couple’s dogs.
That’s right. Choco and Eleven helped set the tone long before the wedding day, and their adorable cameos continued throughout the celebration, appearing on custom cocktail napkins and even a statement ice sculpture by Full Spectrum Ice Sculptures.
And the creativity didn’t stop there!
A life-size illustration of Felipe + Mario greeted guests, while the reception featured an artful mix of linens, tabletop lamps, layered rentals and dramatic draping. A sculptural fondant cake became a design moment of its own, complemented by olive-toned fabric overhead.
The grooms’ design expertise through MOAB & Co. was evident at every turn, with Bright Event Rentals San Antonio helping complete the look and Sweet August Events coordinating the many moving pieces behind this spectacular celebration.
Every detail felt intentional, but never predictable. The result was a wedding that didn’t simply follow a trend—it had a personality entirely its own.
A Celebration of Love, Culture + One Heck of a Party
Now, THIS is where things got really good.
Felipe + Mario made their grand entrance with custom matracas and live mariachi music, immediately setting the tone for a reception that was equal parts heartfelt celebration and full-on fiesta.
Drag performers brought the energy, a disco ball DJ stand kept the party going, and guests danced the night away before enjoying late-night street tacos, Mexican Cokes and homemade rainbow conchas.
But one of the most unforgettable moments came when the entire room joined together for La Vibora de la Mar, with the newlyweds proudly holding a Mexican flag.
It was a powerful celebration of their heritage, community, family and love, all wrapped into one incredible moment.
As the grooms shared in their original feature, it was something they could feel in every photograph and would carry with them forever.
And we think that says everything.
The Dream Team Behind the Magic
A wedding this memorable doesn’t happen without an equally extraordinary group of creatives bringing the vision to life.
From Sweet August Events expertly coordinating the celebration to MOAB & Co. shaping its distinctive design, each vendor helped create an experience that was unmistakably Felipe + Mario.
Bright Event Rentals San Antonio provided beautiful rental pieces, Full Spectrum Ice Sculptures delivered a personalized statement piece, and Cat Haus Collective supplied the getaway car, affectionately named Charlie, for the newlyweds’ grand exit.
And behind the camera, Lauren Crumpler Photography captured every meaningful moment, spectacular detail and dance-floor memory that made this celebration so unforgettable.
It’s weddings like these that remind us just how much talent, creativity and heart exist within our San Antonio wedding community.
And the 2026 Winner Is… Felipe + Mario!
While the design was undeniably fabulous and the party was one for the books, what we love most about Felipe + Mario’s wedding is how completely it celebrated their story.
From the nods to their beloved pups and their Mexican heritage to the playful “Love Is Love” and “Los Gays” details, there was never a question of whose wedding this was.
It was bold. It was personal. It was bursting with joy.
And now, it’s officially Wed Society San Antonio’s 2026 Wedding of the Year!
Felipe + Mario, CONGRATULATIONS!! We’re so honored to celebrate your love story and the incredible team that brought your vision to life. Thank you for reminding us that the most unforgettable weddings aren’t necessarily the ones that follow every tradition—they’re the ones that celebrate love in a way that feels completely authentic to the people saying “I do.”
And to everyone who voted, shared and cheered on our 11 incredible contenders, THANK YOU! We couldn’t do this without our amazing wedding community.
Next stop: Wed Society’s National Wedding of the Year 2026! We’re rooting for y’all!
