There are weddings that feel designed, and then there are weddings that feel transported. Maria and David’s celebration at the San Antonio Botanical Garden was firmly the latter, a garden Tuscany vision so thoughtfully executed that guests could have been forgiven for forgetting which continent they were on.
The couple’s vision was clear from the start: a garden Tuscany aesthetic with all the elements to bring a truly romantic vibe to their celebration. D Picnic Studio handled everything — planning, floral design, décor, and lighting — and they executed it flawlessly. Every single detail was curated specifically for the venue, creating a cohesive world rather than a collection of pretty things. The reception at San Antonio Botanical Garden was transformed with a crisp white dance floor, custom lighting, and centerpieces brought to life by the warm glow of table lamps and candles that complemented the garden surroundings perfectly. Even the custom menus felt like part of the design.
But here’s the moment that set the tone for everything: before the reception even began, Marifer and David slipped away to the Thompson San Antonio for their first look and portraits. Intimate. Just the two of them. And honestly, can we think of a more perfect backdrop for a couple going for classic, chic, and elegant? We cannot.
The day started with a ceremony at Church San Francesco Di Paola, giving the celebration a sense of tradition and meaning before the evening’s garden magic unfolded. Marifer carried a classic calla lily bouquet, one of those timeless choices that never fails to take your breath away, and DJ Regio kept the energy going all night long.
