The moment has finally arrived, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to unveil the very first cover of the 2025 Wed Society | San Antonio Book of Weddings, featuring Alexandra Marlow and Michael De Leon’s stunning wedding day. We fell in love with this cover photo not just because of their stylish wedding or for the piece of San Antonio history with the San Fernando Cathedral in the background, but what truly captured our hearts was the pure joy radiating from this couple! That unbridled happiness in their first moment leaving the chapel as newlyweds is exactly what we wish for every San Antonio couple on their wedding day!

Meet the Photographer

This breathtaking cover shot was captured by the incredibly talented Matthew Alvarado, a wedding photographer who has been professionally documenting weddings around the world for the past 17 years. With a passion for storytelling and a background in editorial photography, Matthew’s talent artfully captures the seen and unseen moments with an uncanny level of intention and sophistication – no wonder his expertise was cover-worthy!

Timeless Elegance at The Red Berry Estate

Alexandra and Michael’s vision of a sophisticated, modern, and timeless vogue celebration came together through an incredible team of vendors who truly understood what they were going for. VOLARE Planning & Design orchestrated every detail perfectly, bringing the couple’s dreams to life with amazing sensibility. Alex shared, “Our wedding planner, Caroline made our wedding visions come to life, and we can solidly say that our day was immaculate due to her.” When the couple found The Red Berry Estate, they immediately knew it was their dream reception venue. The venue’s equestrian theme couldn’t have been more fitting, Alex’s lifelong passion for horses led her to teach Michael to ride, making it a meaningful part of their love story. The beautiful architecture, luxury amenities, and sophisticated vibe of The Red Berry Estate was exactly what they had envisioned for their big day.

Alex looked absolutely stunning in her beaded long-sleeve gown with a flowing tulle skirt from Kleinfeld Bridal, with her hair and makeup styled to perfection by the talented ladies of Veil Artistry. Her sleek bun and effortless glam makeup were the perfect complement to her dress, creating a timeless bridal look that was both elegant and effortlessly beautiful.

The celebration was full of personal touches that really told their story. The equestrian-themed details added unexpected elegance, Scarlet Rose Collective crafted a one of a kind seating chart with horseshoe escort cards along with a timeless welcome sign. The couple had a saddle serving as their guest book, a detail we just loved!

Rosemary’s Catering set up both a champagne tower and an espresso martini tower along with exceptional catering, while Illusions Rentals & Designs provided elegant linens and the dance floor. Their Texas A&M pride showed through with custom 12th man towels, and they honored their Hispanic heritage with traditional ceremony elements at San Fernando Cathedral, including the blessing of the Auras and Lasso, followed by a mariachi recessional from Mariachi Los Galleros de San Antonio with some of their favorite songs, as well as a custom cake topper the couple had hand painted in Cabo.

Their dogs, a meaningful part of their lives were incorporated through signature cocktails named for them, custom napkin sketches, and even one peeking through the bottom of their wedding cake from Cakes & More Bake Shop.

The Vintage Bouquet created gorgeous florals that transformed the space, while the Manhattan Band by Jordan Kahn Orchestra provided the perfect soundtrack for the night. Their wedding day was beautifully documented by Bell Videography, preserving the heartfelt moments for a lifetime. After the reception, the couple and their closest friends kept the party going in the estate’s casino, ending a day that was, in Alex’s words, “everything we wanted and more.”
