You know how they say rain on your wedding day is good luck? Well, Annie and Dusten got the ultimate proof of that at their April celebration at Dos Palomas Ranch! It was the first rainy day of the year and the rain let up just long enough for them to say their vows before starting back up again. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect!
The couple exchanged vows at The Bluff, a gorgeous amphitheater-style ceremony spot overlooking the Guadalupe River, surrounded by the stunning native Texas yellow wildflowers that bloom in April each year. Honestly, between the moody cloudy lighting and those golden blooms everywhere, their photographer Lepard Imaging must have been in heaven!
Their whole vibe was what we’d call “Spring Classic,” elegant but fresh & approachable. The guys looked sharp in tan suits while the bridesmaids were absolutely glowing in white silk. Morgan Dianne Events nailed the coordination, and Flourish Floral Design created these lush arrangements that they smartly moved from ceremony to reception (because why not get double duty out of gorgeous flowers, right?). Cru Rentals brought in the most beautiful linens and head table setup that just made everything feel so refined.
But can we please talk about Annie’s shoes? She had custom Golden Goose sneakers made with a sketch of the actual venue and their monogram on them! How cool is that? It’s the perfect mix of sentimental and practical. She could actually dance all night and have this amazing keepsake forever.
“Probably the calm before the storm, before all the guests got there,” Annie told us when we asked about her favorite moment. “Just seeing all the details we spent so long planning actually come together. We also did a private cheers with our wedding party before our entrance which was so much fun!”
This is exactly the kind of wedding that reminds us why we love what we do: when couples embrace whatever the day brings and create something absolutely beautiful in the process. Annie and Dusten’s celebration was pure joy from start to finish, rain and all!
