Imagine a wedding weekend filled with ranch festivities, margaritas, family heirlooms and heritage. 🐎

Abbey dreamt of getting married on her family-owned ranch, and turned it into a reality with intentional detail. Nestled in Comstock, Texas, their family ranch transformed into a chic celebration space. Guests enjoyed the comfort of creatively adorned hay bales and the warmth of the Texas sun, while sipping on cold margaritas and soaking in the ranch’s atmosphere.

Not only did Abbey design and create her own invitation suite and signage as Abbey Strunk Studio, but she really leaned into her unique artistic eye, sporting a playful mini dress from Julian Gold Bridal and eye-catching bright yellow shoes – topped with a custom embellished train by iconic San Antonio artist Prida Rodriguez. Her bridesmaids, each holding a single elegant stem and with flowers woven into their hair, brought a touch of whimsy to the rustic backdrop.

The ceremony took place at Turtle Point, a beloved childhood spot by the river where Hayley once dreamed of tying the knot. Surrounded by vintage couches, sheep and goat sculptures that nod to the ranch’s long history, and an array of family heirlooms, every detail was steeped in personal and historical significance.

We asked the couple about their favorite parts of their wedding and they told us: “Our petting zoo! We built a small coral backing up to my uncles model T truck with flowers all over it.” They also loved transforming one of the original structures on the ranch “The Smoke House” into a dream little hangout with tassels ceiling, couches and all the unique decor brought in from the ranch house for people to hangout in during the party.

We’re obsessed with Claire Schaper‘s documentary film style, the authenticity and love embedded in this wedding are palpable—making every moment feel as personal and chic as the setting itself.

And finally kudos to the Water To Wine Hospitality for brilliantly pulling off a whimsical outdoor ceremony & reception with rentals provided by Bright Rentals and florals by Reiley & Rose.
