Jennifer and Geoffrey’s San Antonio wedding was a masterclass in intentional design, proving that thoughtful planning knows no distance. The New York-based couple created a vibrant celebration at The Allen Farmhaus infused with their Hispanic heritage, retro disco aesthetics, and unwavering commitment to sustainability — all while coordinating from across the country! 🧡

“We really were extremely intentional with all our details,” Jennifer shared. This thoughtfulness was evident in every element, from the hand-painted candles adorning their colorful tablescapes with linens from To Have and To Fold to their completely vegan, plant-based menu featuring traditional Latino dishes prepared with a cruelty-free approach by Contigo Catering, with cocktail hour spreads from Honey & Pickle.

The couple welcomed approximately 150 guests from around the globe — from New York and Florida to Spain and Colombia — for a four-day celebration that culminated in a spiritual ceremony that became their favorite moment of the weekend. “Our ceremony incorporated a meditation and a ring warming ceremony. It was more of a spiritual experience,” Jennifer explained, with Burken & Co. Productions capturing every meaningful moment through photography.

Their creative vision came alive through a distinctly “retro Havana” atmosphere, anchored by Bright Event Rentals‘ statement-making checkered dance floor and stylish chairs that set the perfect foundation for the celebration. The space was completed with disco balls and fringe details from Radiant Balloon Designs in vibrant whites, oranges, yellows, and pinks. Eye-catching signage by Frankadelphia and Bespoke by Beck, alongside beautiful banners from Autumn Rose Paper Co., guided guests throughout the celebration. Terra Vista Strings set the tone by playing Metallica and Guns and Roses for their ceremony processional, while Los Gitanitos flamenco band with singers and dancers entertained guests during cocktail hour.

The bride looked absolutely radiant with hair styled to perfection by Viva La Glam, her stunning gown from Grace Loves Lace, and starry veil from Rue De Seine, perfectly complementing the day’s retro-inspired aesthetic. Each carefully considered detail reflected the couple’s personality and heritage, from the vibrant tablescapes featuring sustainable dinnerware from Table Manners to the eco-conscious elements incorporated throughout the celebration. Wedding coordinator Marino Made Events ensured every detail was executed flawlessly, while decor from Alma Verde Events and additional rentals from Accents and Events, and Cat Haus Designs & Rentals transformed the space into a retro Havana dream.

The couple’s attention to sustainability was remarkable — they used only fresh-squeezed juices and natural ingredients in their signature cocktails (including a frozen sangria!), served organic wines and local Texas beers, and Vegan Cake Craft provided delectable vegan cake and plant-based sweets.

As the night progressed, a percussionist joined the DJ to energize the dance floor with salsa and merengue rhythms while servers passed late-night cafecito and arroz con leche — perfect cultural touches to keep the celebration going. The couple made their grand exit in a stunning vintage getaway car provided by Cat Haus Designs & Rentals.

The festivities didn’t end with the reception — the couple’s four-day event concluded with a brunch and float day on the river, giving their out-of-town guests a true Texas experience to remember! 💕 Jennifer thoughtfully preserved their wedding memories for the weekend through floral preservation with Pressed Petals TX! The bride noted ” I got my bouquets pressed and framed and had florals made into ornaments for our bridal party and close family.”

Jennifer and Geoffrey’s celebration proves that with intention, thoughtfulness, and careful planning, couples can create celebrations that are not only beautiful but also meaningful reflections of their values and heritage.
