When you spend your days creating magic for engaged couples, it feels pretty incredible to channel that same collaborative energy into something that feeds your community in a completely different way. As part of Wed Society Cares, members from all markets across the U.S. joined together to give back locally. Here in San Antonio, our team rolled up our sleeves for a volunteer shift at the San Antonio Food Bank, bringing that same heart, teamwork, and passion to a cause that reaches far beyond wedding day moments.
Marco from MBP Photo Booth, Mandy from Infinite Photography SA, Jeanine from Gunpowder Soup, Ále from Petále Haus, and Stephanie from Hyatt Regency Hill Country spent their afternoon sorting through donated food items and organizing them into categories that would create well-rounded meals for families across Southwest Texas and San Antonio.
The impact? Our team helped sort 10,000 pounds of food donations that will create 8,769 meals for the community! 🍅🥬 We are incredibly proud of our team for spending this time to make such a meaningful difference!
There’s something really special about working side-by-side with your wedding industry friends on something that has nothing to do with centerpieces or timelines. We cleared out nearly our entire section as a team, and the San Antonio Food Bank made the whole experience incredibly fun and well-organized. It’s one of the most accessible ways to give back to our San Antonio community, and we’re already planning our next volunteer shift!
