But before that perfect ending, Marissa and Thomas threw a wedding at The Veranda that was anything but quiet. The couple chose a color palette as bold as their love story, with Yarrow and James dressing the venue in rich, saturated red florals with unexpected forms throwing the whole room into a confident, romantic mood. From start to finish, Volare Planning kept every detail running beautifully, ensuring the couple could actually be present in their day.
And can we talk about that cake? Cakes by Cathy Young created a stunning meter cake topped with fresh berries that sat front and center, equal parts statement piece and dessert. Talk about a centerpiece worth celebrating!
One of our favorite touches was the nod to Marissa and Thomas’s Mexican American heritage. As Marissa shared, “We wanted to bring a little San Antonio and Mexican American culture to our wedding! Our guests loved the music provided by Mariachi Azul San Antonio during our cocktail hour.” That’s wedding planning gold, weaving in the things that make a couple uniquely them.
Stephanie Renae Co. was there capturing every moment, and the bride couldn’t say enough good things: “Stephanie and her team were basically with us in the background the whole time, would check in if we needed a break or even grab me a glass of water I didn’t realize I’d needed.” That’s the kind of photographer who shows up as a person first and a vendor second, and we are forever obsessed with that energy.
